Happy Halloween

Kirksey was the cutest giraffe for her first Halloween! Isn't she adorable?

Headed to go trick-or-treating for the first time!

She's getting excited

Our first stop

She kept trying to pull the candy out of her pumpkin

I think she has figured out this candy thing! Don't worry, Daddy has dibs on all her candy.

We had a fun night!

Checking out her loot

Happy Halloween!

Playing Catch-Up/Picture Overload

We traveled a good bit this past month, so I'm finally getting to post some pictures of what we have done this month.
Richard had a week of vacation and we spent a night with some of his college roomates at the River. We watched the MSU game on tv and let the kids play. Then Kirksey spent her first night away from us.

The big kids played too!

A couple of weekends ago, we went to the pumpkin patch at Cedar Hills Farm. We took a hayride out to the patch and corn maze.

Not so sure about this

Love this picture!

Checking out the scarecrow

And now she wants to get away!

In the corn maze with Daddy, having lots of fun! Oh, how I love these two!

Love this picture too!

Pointing at the pumpkins

And everything else

Family pictures

I think she is ready to go home

We had to take a pumpkin to daycare after decorating it, so we just put a handprint on it.

We also made a trip to Tupelo to visit Jennifer and Kenzie. Kenzie was very nice sharing and bringing things to Kirksey to play with.

Then we went to the indoor playground, which Kirksey loved!

So much to do!

The duck was a favorite

11 Months Old

Kirksey, you are 11 months old today! You are getting so big and changing so much every day. You are so much fun these days. Each month you are in our lives, it just gets better and better. This month it was more of a task to get your monthly picture, you are very busy.

You preferred to be standing up holding Panda than sitting happily beside him.

You are still in size 3 diapers.
You wear 6-9 month and 9 month clothes.
You get into everything, even if I try to put it out of your reach. You are so persistant!

You are walking more and more each day. You have to concentrate hard when you are getting started. You almost always have something in your hands when walking. Here you have your 2 favorite "toys".

You are a happy baby!
There are times where you will be playing by yourself or just sitting in your carseat and cracking yourself up. I love your laugh!

You walk slowly (which is fine by me, I know it won't last long), but if there is something you really want then you drop to the ground and take off crawling to get to it.
You also love Maci. You get so excited when you see him. I think he is getting more fond of you too, he doesn't hide as much as he used to. He will also let you pat on him (for a second).

This is your face when you are chasing after him.

You have been saying several words lately.
You say "uh oh, dow", which means "uh oh, it fell down". You will purposefully drop things so you can say it.
You say "bye bye bye bye" while waving both your hands. You do this when someone is leaving, when we are about to go in the car, and when your bath water is draining.
You say "helloowoo" with the phone to your ear.
You are absolutely precious!

You have 4 teeth now. I took this picture a few days ago so you can't see the second top tooth well, but it is definitely there.

You still nurse 5 times a day and eat 3 meals in your highchair.
You are a good eater and I hope you continue to like everything so much. You even eat your lima beans better than Daddy!
We have tried lots of things. Here is one of your first times eating spaghetti...and it was messy, this is why we take a bath every night now!

You brighten every day! You have such a sweet, loving personality. We love you so much and can't wait to share more fun moments with you!
