Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Here are a bunch of pictures from the past week or so.

Here is the picture before we went to see Santa. Needless to say, it did not go so well. They wouldn't let me use my camera and I wasn't going to pay $20 to get the one they took. So, we will try again next year and go to Bass Pro for the free pic!
We spent the weekend before Christmas in Brooksville.

Christmas get together at Libby and Neel's.

Great Grandmothers, Grandmother, and Grandchildren. I think this picture turned out great!

But, then again who wouldn't have a big smile on their face when this is in the background!

One night after Richard got home from work we went to see the Zoo Lights!

This was right before her tray was loaded with food and she decided to throw it all on the floor.

"Can I open this one?"

Christmas Eve...
Cookies set out for Santa and some carrots for the reindeer!
Stockings filled

Christmas Day!
We woke up early to have our Christmas morning before Richard had to go to work. Thankfully, Kirksey was in a good mood for being woken up!

Coming toward the tree

Daddy showing Kirksey that Santa ate some of a cookie, drank the milk, and the reindeer ate some of the carrot!
Stocking time!

Now for her big present...

a DVD player for the car!
She loved pushing the buttons.
At first Richard said "Don't push the buttons", then he quickly followed with "oh, what the heck, it's Christmas. Have fun!"

I'd have to say, it was a hit!

Snow

This morning we woke up to snow on the ground. So we got all bundled up and went out to play!
Don't worry though, Kirksey still had her fleece pajamas on under everything and they were still dry as a bone when we got back inside. Enjoy the pictures of Kirksey playing in her first snow!

Kirksey's 1st Birthday Party

We had Kirksey's 1st Birthday Party on Saturday, December 3.
The theme was Sugar & Spice. We had our "sugar" table filled with cupcakes, oreo pops, brownie pops, #1 cookies, cake balls, and chocolate covered pretzels.

All her monthly pictures were displayed.

We also had our "spice" table with chili, taco soup, hummus, and buffalo chicken dip.

Kirksey decided to throw a fit early into the party.

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to"

Hanging out with Uncle Michael

She was not happy about her hat

She did a little better though once she got some keys to play with.

But then they were taken away and replaced by her cake.

Daddy trying to cheer Kirksey up.

Not very interested in the cake.

So, we moved to the floor to try again.

Instead, a cookie worked.

This is more like it!

She did pretty good opening all the presents. She would get excited about the new toys and want to play with them.

Clayton showing Kirksey how it's done!

We gave Kirksey her first baby doll.

Clayton was a good helper with opening Kirksey's gifts!

We were glad "Millie" Mom could make it.

I think Kirksey had a good time!

Thank you all for your generous gifts! We love you!
Jennifer, thank you for taking all the pictures and helping so much!
