Sam, you are 15 months old!
Life seems to be flying by with your sweet face. I still cannot believe how much love I have in my heart for you and your sister.

1 Year Old!

Sam, you are 1 year old!

I truly cannot believe how fast this year has gone by.
You are still in a size 4 diaper.
You wear 12 or 12-18 month clothes.
You have a size 4 shoe, but you will outgrow that soon.
You have 6 teeth showing and another 2 that are about to pop through your gums.

You have been nursing 4 times a day for about the last week.
You are moving towards taking 1 nap a day, but occasionally you will still take 2.

You are still not liking to be fed with a spoon, instead you like to feed yourself with your fingers.
The only food you really do not like is banana. You will eat it if it is pureed in a pouch that you can eat straight out of, but you will not eat it cut up in pieces. I think it may just be the texture you do not like.
Your favorite fruits seem to be blueberries and strawberries. If you see one across the room you flap your arms and start babbling to me.

Your favorite vegetable is a grean bean. I am always surprised how many you eat in a sitting.
You also really like any kind of meat.

You still prefer to drink from a straw cup instead of a sippy cup.
We gave you your first taste of cow's milk today, but you didn't want very much. I managed to get a pic of your first taste.

You are getting good at walking. It is becoming your primary mode of transportation. However, if there is something that you want bad enough you will drop down and crawl. You are so speedy when crawling.

You absolutely love Kirksey. It is so fun to watch the two of you interact and love on each other. You can make each other laugh for so long. It definitely has to be one of my most favorite sounds in the entire world!

You played with your first cupcake today, but wouldn't really eat any.

I am sure you will get the hang of it one day soon and enjoy sweets!

You are the sweetest, most handsome little boy. You have made our family so wonderfully happy this past year. I am so thankful that God chose us to be parents. We love you forever!
Happy Birthday Sam!

11 Months Old

Sam, you are 11 months old!
You are such a joy, and you are truly a happy baby.

You took your first 3 steps last night!
It won't be long until I am running after you.

You are into everything. We have to really keep a close eye on you.

You still wear a size 4 diaper.
You are in 12 month clothes.
You still only have 4 teeth.
You like to feed yourself and rarely allow me to spoon feed you anything.
Your most common word is "dada", you also babble that a lot. You have also learned to say "uh-oh".

You have gotten to where you refuse to take a bottle.
You do better with a straw cup than a sippy cup. Hopefully, the transition to whole milk next month when I wean you will not be too bad.

You love going outside and will even squeal every time I open the back door.

You go after anything that makes noise. If it doesn't make noise, you bang it to make your own.
You also love when Kirksey and I sing you songs.

Proudly ringing the cowbell!

You give good open mouth kisses and great hugs!

You love the swings! I got to take you to the park today just you and mama while Kirksey was at her swimming lesson.

I love spending time with you and getting to see the little personality you are developing.
I can't believe 11 months have already gone by! We love you!

10 Months Old

Sam, you are 10 months old today!

Taking your picture can be tricky.

You do not like to sit still for the camera!

You wear some 9 month and some 12 month clothing.
You have thinned out a good bit since you have been crawling so much.

You have just started to wear all size 4 diapers.

You still only have 4 teeth. I thought you would probably have more by now, but I am thankful that it is just 4 since I am still nursing you.

You eat just about anything with the exception of high allergy risk items such as cow's milk, eggs, peanut butter, and shellfish.

You love any kind of table food you can get your hands on. The texture of the different foods has not bothered you in the least.

We are still working on getting you to take the sippy cup well. You prefer to play with it more than drink from it, but you are slowly getting a little better.

You try to play with anything Kirksey has or belongs to her. I think it is because you love her so much.
She sings to you, loves on you, and tries to make you laugh all the time (that is when she is not taking one of her toys away from you).

Your laughter is one of the most wonderful sounds in the world.

Your smile can light up the room.

We love you so incredibly much!
